Meet The Team
Here we are – the faces behind the magic! These are the people that make it all happen, day in day out, 24/7 on home shores and far and wide. We’re a friendly bunch of consummate professionals and we all take great pride and pleasure in looking after our great clients – and each other!

Amy Jo Dalton

Managing Director

The best things about my job are firstly my clients. I couldn’t do it without them and luckily for us our clients are always such a pleasure to work with. Secondly, my team, I really couldn’t be prouder, I have an amazing support system around me keeping the impeccable reputation of Conference Solutions going strong.

My most memorable event would have to be my first. There’s been so many and I am proud of them all but the first was a week long Annual Sales Conference for 800 in Nottingham. It was tough to say the least but from that point, I knew I had found my vocation in life.

Maggie Dalton

Finance Director

The best things about my job are the people we meet, the places we go and the sometimes magical experiences we enjoy. Even after over 30 years here at Conference Solutions, every day is still different, sometimes challenging but never ever boring!

My most memorable event In 34 years? Too many to list, but a couple of stand outs would be the incentives we ran to the Monaco Grand Prix and a really high profile awards dinner for 500 guests, staged in a marquee that was purpose built in the grounds of a stately home. The transformation from muddy field to amazingly glamorous 7 star venue was just jaw dropping!

Jessica McGrory

Head of Events

My favourite UK venue has to be Altitude 360 in London an amazing place with unrivalled views across many of London’s most famous landmarks. The events we’ve run here for one of our favourite clients really had the ‘wow’ factor.

The most rewarding part of my job at Conference Solutions, we work on the whole event process from inception right through to delivery. Seeing the event come together on site after all the work we’ve put in is definitely a massive buzz for all concerned!

My most memorable event has to be a gala dinner we staged on the beach at Sandals Barbados. Steel pan drums, fairy lights across the palm trees, carnival girls dancing on the white sands next to the crystal blue sea – it felt like a dream and it was great to be able to deliver this for the appreciative client.

Louise Bell

Head of Operations

My favourite hotel is Celtic manor, I find this place really stunning. The service and the food is always amazing and the last time I visited as an added bonus concierge valeted my car!

The best things about my job are when your clients say thank you for all your hard work and everything you have done. It’s just great to know how much we are appreciated!

My most memorable event was being given the opportunity run a corporate event in St Lucia. It was a truly amazing experience. My client and his team were just blown away with the whole event – and that was the cherry on top!

Sue Howells

Accounts

I’ve been the gate keeper and part of the Conference Solutions family for 34 years! I was the first employee EVER, so I know just how much has been achieved over the years! We might be quite a small team, but my how we deliver!

I look after the finances here and try to make sure the girls aren’t spending too much money (it’s a hard job)! Working with such a lively bunch means there’s never a dull moment, but I especially love the buzz around the office when we’re preparing for an event and I’m always happy to lend a hand with getting things set up and ready to go.

Lynda Lawton

Admin & Financial Assistant

My favourite hotel is The Malmaison London. It’s so stylish and classy and clients always come back to me with great reviews about the place!

The best things about my Job are the relationships I build with clients for whom I’m booking accommodation and meetings on an almost daily basis. When people are away from home for many nights in a year, I think it’s important to get to know what they like and need in a hotel and to make sure that’s what they get. It’s really rewarding when a client calls to thank me for some little detail I’ve managed to arrange for them to make their time away from home that bit more bearable!

I also assist Sue with keeping the finances in line and really enjoy that side of my job too!

Nicole Barrett

Event Manager

My favourite hotel is Atlantis the Palm, Dubai. Where else can you have a fish tank wall in your room!

The events industry allows me to express my creativity and produce live events that are beyond the client’s expectations. I love this and I always have such a sense of pride at the end of each project.

My most memorable event We were told by the client 2 weeks before the live day that they would like to have a theme, not just any theme a ‘Harry Potter’ theme, for 250 people! Oh – and there was nothing in the budget for it either, so we had to come up with stuff we could mainly produce ourselves. I didn’t know much about Harry Potter at the beginning, but I certainly did in the end. It was a brilliant event and it looked stunning. Another happy client and another feather in my cap!

Emma Hynes

Event Manager

My favourite hotel is (or was) the Waldorf Astoria in New York. It’s currently closed but I was very fortunate to have stayed there a couple of times. It was such a beautiful grand hotel and an iconic building – I hope the refurb doesn’t diminish this grandeur!

The best things about my job are my clients and the destinations they work in! We organise events all over the world, so the opportunity to travel to places I have never seen before is amazing.

My most memorable event would have to be one we arranged in Bratislava. The dinner we arranged for the 250 guests at the Bratislava Philharmonic was particularly memorable, and another opportunity for me to experience cultures and venues I’d never normally see.

Cassandra Morton

Event Manager

My favourite hotel is the Crane in Barbados, a cliffside hotel with the most amazing views…the cocktails are great too!

The best thing about my job is getting to see my events right through to the end, and I just love being onsite to see them run smoothly. It also means I get to stay in some beautiful hotels both here and abroad.

My most memorable event was without doubt a recent conference in Dubai. The client got us on board with only 5 weeks to go. Organising the invite process, then flights, visas, transfers and dinner locations was a challenge to be sure, but with help from my wonderful team mates, it all got done in the nick of time and delegates from 5 different continents all enjoyed a great trip.

Gillian Griffin

Event Admin Manager

My favourite hotel is Hoar Cross Hall Hotel and Spa. A stately home in Staffordshire the grounds, facilities and staff are fantastic. Every time I visit as soon as I go through the doors, I’m instantly relaxed!

The best thing about my job is the client relationships I’ve built (and continue to build) as I go through my daily work. I’m a big believer in the CSL ethos of providing our clients with impeccable service, offering proactive advice and overcoming any obstacles along the way. Especially, it is always such a joy to hear how they couldn’t do without me.

Daniella Matragrano

Event Co-Ordinator

My favourite hotel is The Sentido Perissia in Antalya, Turkey simply amazing!

The best thing about my job is working in an industry I love on a national and international scale with such an amazing group of ladies. Oh and the raspberry jam doughnuts on a Friday afternoon help as well!

My most memorable event would be a top end furniture show we arranged for a long standing client. Fed up of covering the extortionate costs of exhibiting at major shows, they decided to go it alone. Being part of the team that delivered an amazing show for them and for their retailers – and a full order book at the end of it – was just a brilliant feeling.

Jodie Downes

Conference & Event Assistant

My favourite hotel is Carden Park, the hotel and facilities are just excellent. Not only is the hotel set in beautiful grounds but the staff always go out of their way to ensure a special experience.

The best things about my job are working with such a supportive team, meeting new people and seeing new places. I love that I’m encouraged to grow and develop within the company with colleagues who support my learning and welcome my opinions and ideas.

My most memorable events were my first two, which took place in Dubai and Barcelona. A lot of time and work went into the planning and preparation and the outcome was of course an outstanding success!
